Join us for an artist talk with Jess Jones, a renowned textile artist and Associate Professor of Textiles at Georgia State University. Jess will discuss her artistic practice, which explores the intersections of psycho-geography, textiles, and urban environments, as well as the innovative work of her students at GSU. Through layered, stitched compositions that blend digital and hand-crafted techniques, Jess investigates themes of place, memory, and materiality. Her students bring fresh perspectives to textile art, pushing boundaries with their own interpretations of fabric, form, and storytelling.

This is a unique opportunity to gain insight into contemporary textile art and the creative process behind both Jess’s work and the next generation of fiber artists. Don’t miss this inspiring conversation!
