October Lunchtime Fiber Open Studio

Please join us for Lunchtime Fiber open studios! There will be plenty of time for show and tell, sharing of ideas and tips, problem-solving, and having fun. You can hang out with us at the SEFAA Center or join us virtually, whichever suits you best. So, drop in when you can and stay as long as you’d like. We meet every Tuesday and Thursday, so register for all the monthly sessions you’d like to attend.

Through a combination of hand and machine stitching, embroidery, beading, and delicately crafted fabric flowers, Susan explores feminist themes central to her artistic practice. By incorporating fiber—an historically gendered medium—she underscores the ongoing struggle for women’s bodily and personal autonomy. With richly layered materials and message, MINE invites viewers to reflect on the enduring relevance of women’s voices in art and society.
