Have you always dreamed of sewing but don’t feel comfortable using a sewing machine? Then, join us and master the essentials: setting up and threading your machine, deciphering all those buttons, and discovering the essential tools to make your sewing experience a breeze. We’ll also explore a variety of fabrics, learn how to use them, discover the best places to find them, and take a quick dive into sustainable sewing. And, you’ll get hands-on experience by planning and creating a set of coasters or a card-sized wallet – fun and practical projects that will put your new skills to the test. Sign up today and start your sewing adventure!
Chrissy Weeks has been sewing for most of her life, working as a fiber artist and seamstress since 2009 and teaching sewing since 2010. She learned to sew from her mother, a garment maker, and her Nana, an amazing seamstress and quilter. Chrissy enjoys making clothes that fit well and function for everyday wear (read POCKETS!). She also loves making reusable items like napkins, sandwich bags, grocery totes, etc. She has been the Chair of Pi Quilters at The Paideia School since 2018 and a SEFAA member for over 10 years.
