Join us for a special docent tour of Threads of Change: Design & Data at the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA). This exhibition explores how fiber artists use textiles to transform climate and ecological data into immersive, large-scale works that tell powerful stories about our planet’s past, present, and future.

Featured works include:

  • Black Gold Tapestry by Sandra Sawatzky – a stunning 220-foot embroidered narrative chronicling the history and impact of oil.
  • Crochet Coral Reef – by Margaret and Christine Wertheim – a global, community-based project merging craft with climate science.
  • Net-Work by Adrian Baker – an installation inspired by the interconnectedness of trees and fungi.

Through intricate stitches and innovative techniques, Threads of Change highlights the intersection of fiber art, environmental awareness, and storytelling. Don’t miss your opportunity to experience this exhibit with expert insights from MODA’s knowledgeable docents. Learn more about the exhibition here: https://www.museumofdesign.org/current-exhibition
