Raid your stash for special fabric scraps, trims, and bits of jewelry, and join us to create a unique, ethnic-inspired doll. You'll start with a base doll form and then add unique stitched and embellished garments. Will your doll be Sami, Nepalese, Maasai, or Eastern European-inspired, or a unique blend of many traditional styles? Will your doll represent your past or future travels, your heritage, or the style of dress associated with your favorite cuisine? Wherever you start, your doll will evolve as you stitch, with special embellishments adding meaning. When you finish, your doll will be as unique as you are.

Originally a ceramics major, Hellenne Vermillion fell in love with silk painting over ten years ago and she's been creating various silk works for shows and art sales ever since. Required Supplies:

• Scissors
• Needles, including a bead needle if you think you'll need one.
• Threads for hand sewing, including specialty/embellishment threads you already have.
• Small scraps of fabrics that have meaning to you.
• Any beads, doodads, trims, etc. that you'd like to use.
